My name is Crystal Shepherd. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Delta State University in 2006. I have endorsements in Mathematics and Social Studies. I have a Master’s Degree in the field of education as well.
I have been working as an educator for nine and half years. During this time, I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade in a variety of subjects from math and reading to Lego Robotics. I was the Clarksdale Municipal School District Teacher of the Year for the 2012-2013 school year. Since then I have worked as an academic coach helping teachers to improve their skills in the classroom and how to incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) into their regular classroom instruction.
I am looking forward to teaching second grade this year and getting to know each and every one of my students. Let’s have a successful journey together!
